TORONTO – October 15, 2026 – StackAdapt (www.stackadapt.com), the leading AI advertising and orchestration platform, today announced expanded audio advertising capabilities designed to give advertisers greater precision and transparency across streaming music, digital radio, and podcasts.

New podcast show-level targeting and exclusions, audio type and category controls, and dedicated content reporting are now available directly within StackAdapt’s existing audio workflow, making it easier for advertisers to manage where ads appear and understand where campaigns are delivered.

Digital audio advertising continues to grow, with US spending expected to reach $8.04 billion USD in 2026 and increase 5.7% in 2027, while programmatic podcast ad spending is projected to reach $389 million USD in 2026 and grow 18.8% the following year.

For advertisers building awareness across streaming music, digital radio, and podcasts, selecting the right content is an important part of campaign planning. Buyers may want to reach listeners of specific shows, focus on particular genres, or avoid content that does not fit their brand. They also need reporting that shows whether campaign delivery reflects those choices.

StackAdapt’s enhanced programmatic audio workflow brings podcast discovery, content controls, and delivery reporting together in one place. Advertisers can find relevant shows, align ad placements with brand preferences and client requirements, and give clients a clearer picture of where campaigns ran, while reducing reliance on manually curated inventory packages, support teams, and custom reporting.

Key features include:

  • Control Across Audio Environments: Audio type targeting lets advertisers select environments such as streaming music, digital radio, and podcasts, making it easier to structure campaigns around the audio environments that make sense for their media plans.
  • Category and Genre Selection: Advertisers can include or exclude content categories across podcasts, music, and general audio, with options such as Comedy, News, and True Crime for podcasts, and Blues, Pop/Top 40, and Rock for music.
  • Podcast Show-Level Targeting and Exclusions: Advertisers can search and filter a catalog of more than 530,000 podcast shows and build show-level inclusion lists directly within the campaign workflow, with details including title, author, category, and artwork. Advertisers can also exclude specific shows, giving them greater control over both where they want to appear and where they don’t.
  • Greater Transparency Into Audio Ad Delivery: Dedicated reporting lets advertisers view delivery from campaign and audio type down to content genre and individual podcast show. Because targeting and reporting use consistent audio type definitions, advertisers have a clearer line between the environments they selected during campaign setup and where their ads ultimately ran.

“As audio becomes a bigger part of the media mix, advertisers want the same level of control and transparency they expect across other programmatic channels,” said Greg Joseph, VP of Inventory Development at StackAdapt. “These capabilities give buyers a clearer connection between the content they choose during campaign setup and where their ads ultimately run, while bringing more of that discovery, targeting, and reporting directly into the platform.”

Audio continues to expand within the broader advertising and orchestration platform, making it easier for advertisers to incorporate the channel into their broader media strategies. The enhancements also reduce manual work and make it easier to share delivery results with clients. By bringing more targeting, discovery, and reporting capabilities into a single workflow, advertisers gain greater control over how audio campaigns are planned, activated, and measured.
